Legacy Formats Converted to Digital

Legacy conversion is the process of converting or digitizing old, outdated formats to a newer, more compatible format.

It’s important for keeping your precision memories so the next generations can remember them. Have an old audio or video recording of a loved one telling a story of how they came to this country, make sure that story lasts forever.

Diskcopy will convert your old legacy recordings from the following formats:

VHS / VHS-C / MiniDV / Hi8 / Super 8 & Super 16 / Audio Cassette / Reel to Reel / CD / DVD

We can also take your old corporate event or training videos and have them archived before they are lost, however.

Typically, we will convert the videos to an MP4 format & DVD and Audio Cassettes to an MP3 format and CD. MP4 and MP3 files will be copied to a USB Flash Drive so you can archive them on your systems and in the cloud.

If you have an old format not listed above and you need it converted or need them converted to a different format, ask us if it is an option. Our goal is to help you hold on to your memories in a format you desire.

What can happen if you don’t convert your memories now:

• VHS Tapes & Audio Cassettes as well as Reel to Reel and Film Negatives will dry out and crumble
• Tapes can lose the recordings since they are magnetic
